Saga Boats AS has been owned by the same family since it was founded
in 1960. The whole production process takes place at the company?s own
facilities and a modern integrated fibreglass production is an important factor in ensuring the best quality of the final product.

From the beginnings of Saga Boats boats in 1960, our goal has been to build quality boats where the best sea-going capabilities, combined with our local tradition of excellent craftsmanship, have been our main focus. Through utilising our own knowledge, reinforced by a close collaboration with one of Norways best boat navigators, naval architect and civil engineer Eivind Amble, we have succeeded in achieving our goal. He has since the early 80s been our permanent resident designer. Through him semi-displacement boats became the heart of the Saga Boats programme.

PRODUCTION
Our current production programme has five different models. It is important for us to maintain the Saga Boats design and quality in every element of our production development. This gives our products a common identity and strengthens the Sea Saga design label. Thus our customers are secured the best quality and after-sales service, as well as a very high secondhand value. Saga Boats builds approximately 100 boats each season making us one of the biggest producers of boats for leisure use in Norway. Our local suppliers of woodwork and textiles make a significant contribution to the quality of the final product. The building of a Saga Boats boat represents handicraft of a very high standard.

EXPORT MARKETS
A large part of our annual production is exported to the European market. Sweden, Greenland, Denmark, England, Germany, Holland and Switzerland all have their own importers. This secures the owners of a Saga Boats boat the best service and follow-up possible.
