Established in 1970, Lyngen Plast AS is located in the municipal centre of Lyngseidet in Lyngen, a dynamic industrial centre in the Troms? region of Norway. The companys industrial activities revolve around the development, production and sale of pipes and tanks in fibreglass polyester (GRP and GRV).  The company currently has 15 employees and an annual sales volume of NOK 11 million.

Wide Range of Applications
Lyngen Plast produces and sells tanks, pipes and specially designed products made of the composite material fibreglass polyester for a range of purposes and applications. Lyngen Plasts products have a wide range of applications from storage and transport to the production of water, oils, chemicals, and gases, and in demanding chemical processes. Quality and customer requirements are adapted to each specified application in accordance with national and international standards and ISO norms. Most of the products are NS- and NU-licensed. Lyngen Plast carries out pipe winding with dimensions from ND 400 to ND 2000. Special tanks for use with both above-ground and in-ground installation are constructed by laminating 500?50,000 litre tanks to containers or other tanks sized from 500?60,000 litres.

Lyngen Plasts customer base is made up of serious and market-leading enterprises, including well, water and drainage wholesalers; environmental, oil, offshore, industrial, fishing and aquaculture companies; and public works. The company also exports some of its special tanks.

Expertise
Lyngen Plast has 35 years of experience and specialization within the fields of pipe winding, tanker construction and materials technology. The strategic core of the companys activities comprises the winding of GRP pipes and a special joining method used in tank construction.  The operators are licensed professionals with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Lyngen Plast also has employees with higher education in the fields of logistics and finance. The companys board members have extensive financial, legal and marketing expertise.

Innovation Research & Development
Lyngen Plast carries out development activities in collaboration with Norwegian R&D communities with the objective of creating one new product each year. The companys pressure tank product is used for water production worldwide and was developed as a filter system as part of a joint project.
