Telenor Broadcast today announced that it has acquired the TV-rights for SAS-ligaen, the Danish top football league. The matches will be broadcasted on the TV-channels DR and dk4.

Telenor secured that all matches will be produced for live broadcast, and will be distributed on DR and dk4. The agreements last for 3 years, starting in 2009 and ending in 2012.
“We are very satisfied with securing the TV-rights for Danish top football. Football is among the most attractive content for broadcasting”, says Christian Bernau, Director football in Telenor.
The TV-rights where sold in three different packages. The rights to all three packages could not be acquired by the same company. Telenor has acquired the rights to package 2.
