Four out of ten employers in Norway now have great difficulties finding skilled labour, and Norway is now one of the countries in the world where the shortage of skilled labour is greatest.
A new international survey carried out by Manpower shows that 40 per cent of Norwegian employers have problems finding enough and the right kind of labour.
– This is a considerable increase from 2006. Then the figure was 26 per cent, says Manpower CEO Terje Nygaard.
Norway is among the five countries in Europe which has the greatest shortage of skilled labour.
– Reports show that employers are in particular looking for carpenters, electricians, industrial workers, as well as engineers and other skilled labour, Nygaard says.
