Kværner ASA executives said Monday that they were uninterested in merging with the stripped-down Aker Maritime, but analysts on Tuesday speculated that Røkke might be planning to buy Kværner outright. After the sale to France’s Coflexip Stena Offshore, Aker Maritime will retain its Norwegian-based subsidiary, Aker Oil & Gas, which has accounted for 56 percent of company revenues so far this year.
