An agreement has been signed between Nextra AS, which is part of Telenor Business Solutions and the organisers of the Volvo Ocean Race sailing race for Nextra AS to manage their website, according to Scandinavia Now. The race starts in September 2001 and finishes in July 2002. In this period, Nextra will provide live images from the vessels on the website, for audiences all over the world to view via their PC’s. During the race the website will be one of the highest visited websites in the world, so therefore Nextra has designed the website to handle more than 120 million hits per day.
