The Norwegian Seafood Federation launched a new environmental promise last year to strengthen the aquaculture industry’s efforts against fish escapes and sea lice. Among the 12 bold measures is a unique proposal to establish a system for differentiating farmed from wild salmon, tracking escapees back to their farm, and fining the producer.
