The agreements, totalling USD 183 million (NOK 1.7 billion), entail two years of drilling by the semi-submersible rig West Delta and a 19-month extension of drilling duties by the rig West Vanguard. Together, the contracts represent the largest drilling assignment in Smedvig’s history, according to Managing Director Kjell Jacobsen.
