New Automatic Emergency Breathing System

New Automatic Emergency Breathing System for SeaAir.

As an alternative to the current emergency breathing system that is based on reusing breathed air, Hansen Protection AS now developed an emergency breathing system based on using compressed air. The new system goes under the name SeaAir EBS.

The new automatic Emergency Breathing System is designed to let the user put the mouthpiece in their mouth under water and to still be able to breathe freely. The mouthpiece is very easy to use and allows, in a worst case scenario, that vomiting into the mouthpiece will not compromise functionality.

SeaAir EBS utilizes tried and proven components from the world’s leading manufacturers of diving equipment.

Hansen Protection’s new system has been developed in close collaboration with experts in the industry and is already preferred by the US Navy, partly because of the system’s robustness and its integrated protection to prevent the valve from freezing in icy cold water.

SeaAir EBS is designed as a Category A Emergency Breathing System (EBS) in accordance with the requirements of the British Civil Aviation Authority (CAA-UK) and the European Aviation Authority (EASA).
