DNV wins BRCGS Certification Body of the Year award

The selection recognizes DNV’s contribution to assure the quality and integrity of certification to advance food safety.

BRCGS’s Food Safety Europe 2023 awards were announced as part of the organization’s annual Food Safety Europe conference held on 1 February in London. Winning the award also made it official that DNV has retained its the 5-star KPI rating. This is the service performance rating issued by BRCGS, reflecting the overall management of the BRCGS scheme by the certification body.

The BRCGS Certification Body of the Year award is an indication of DNV’s ongoing commitment to supporting innovation and excellence in standards development, training and third-party certification for companies in the food and consumer products sectors. Only BRCGS 5-Star Certification Bodies are eligible for this award, which is a performance measure of competence and professionalism in delivery of BRCGS audits.

BRCGS is a market-leading global brand that helps build confidence in the supply chain. Its global food safety standards, such as BRCGS Food and Packaging, are benchmarked by GFSI. The aim is to set the benchmark for good manufacturing practice and help provide assurance to customers that products are safe, legal and of high quality. It recognises the certification body’s ability to help stakeholders implement and achieve BRCGS certification.
