The opening of Norways largest processing plant for crab commenced last week as the company sees great possibilities to market the delicacy in Asia. HitraMat & Delikatesse AS, situated in the county of Sør-Trøndelag opened a plant able to produce 25 tons of crab every day as a result of vast resources of the shellfish. Norway is one of the few countries in the world were crab is not over taxed. As a result of this the company is optimistic of being able to produce and export their product to interesting markets like China.
