This fall, the Board of Steinsvik Group AS has worked towards finding a replacement for Apeland, and sees Martha Kold Bakkevig as the best candidate to replace Apeland as CEO of Steinsvik Group. She also has the advantage of being local to Haugesund.
«After almost 14 years as an entrepreneur and senior leader in a company that has become a leading company in technology and equipment deliveries to the rapidly expanding aquaculture industry, I now leave it to Martha Kold Bakkevig», says Bjørn M. Apeland – resigning CEO of Steinsvik Group AS. Apeland will continue as Deputy CEO for a period.
«Kverva Technology AS and Duen AS, my own company, has formed a new company, KD Invest AS, which will invest and push forward new concepts in the same industry but in other segments than Steinsvik Group. Here, I will work actively with various projects on behalf of KD Invest, both in Norway and abroad», says Apeland.
«I’m excited to take on the task of building on the work that has been laid down in the company», says the new CEO Martha Kold Bakkevig. «Steinsvik is working in an industry in continuous growth and is one important foundation for Kvervas technology initiative, and we will work targeted with cutting-edge technology to make the industry even more sustainable» comments Bakkevig.
«Kverva Technology is very pleased that Martha has agreed to take over as CEO of Steinsvik Group. We believe she has the right capacity to continue what Steinsvik Group has built and managed in an excellent way by Bjørn M. Apeland», says Terje Eidesmo – CEO of Kverva Technology AS and Chairman of Steinsvik Group AS. «It is a great responsibility to lead Steinsvik, and Martha is the right person to take care of what has been done while building the company in line with the ambitions Kverva Technology has as owners».
