Norspace is an independent supplier of components and equipment to the international space industry. The company specializes in analogue and microwave electronics to satellite manufacturers and signal interface electronics to launchers. In its more than 20 years of operation, Norspace has supplied electronics, including 13,500 SAW devices and 8,000 microelectronic circuits, to 129 satellites, of which 112 are commercial, for customers all over the world, including the leading commercial satellite manufacturers. At least 110 satellites in orbit utilize parts and equipment supplied out of the Horten facility in Norway, including 7,000 SAW devices.
Space Qualified Electronics
Norspace offers building blocks and higher-level assemblies (?units?) for analogue signal processing, such as SAW filters and modules, filter banks, frequency converters, switch matrices, interconnect processors and frequency generation.
The company is process oriented and continuously improves its already high-class design and manufacturing facilities. Manufacturing and test areas include clean rooms ranging from class 100 used for SAW wafer processing, class 10,000 used for hybrid microcircuits assembly, and up to class 100,000 used for printed circuit board soldering, equipment assembly and test.
