Dr.techn.Olav Olsen has unique expertise within the field of reinforced concrete structures, enabling utilization of the particular merits of concrete structures to design slender structures, and structures for use under severe environmental conditions. The company has been reputed for its cylindrical shell roofs since the early 60s, a technology pursued in the development of structural designs for office buildings, bridges and sport stadiums. The concrete shell technology was also utilized in the development of offshore structures, unequalled in size, hydrostatic loads and severe environmental exposure.
