Established in 1990, BIA Milj is a leading producer of glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) and glass-reinforced vinylester (GRVE) products, including septic tanks, water tanks, collector tanks, chemical tanks, offshore constructions and fish farming equipment. BIA Milj has a modern factory at Herdla on Asky, approximately 40 minutes north of downtown Bergen. Given its proximity to a deep-water berth, large and heavy constructions can be shipped directly from the companys factory.

Fish Farming
BIA Milj is a full supplier of land-based vessels and tanks to the fish farming industry and has extensive experience in the product areas. The company produces not only traditional vessels, but also a number of special vessels for fry production. Additionally, BIA Milj delivers a wide assortment of various fish farming tanks. The companys GRP vessels and tanks produce no harmful materials or odours.

Over the past few years, BIA Milj has delivered a number of special products related to halibut, turbot and cod fry production. The company also regularly receives requests from research stations regarding the development of new equipment.

BIA Milj produces an assortment of tanks for fish farming usage. They are used as ensilage tanks, sediment tanks and holding tanks for the treatment of wastewater. Silage tanks can also be delivered as buoyancy tanks.

BIA Milj??s constructions are in line with the BS 4994 standard for the Design and Construction of Vessels and Tanks in Reinforced Plastics. The company is a Norwegian Standards-approved firm, and its products and quality control are checked regularly by Nemko and DNV.
