Industrial Design – a competitive market tool

As market expectations and consumer requirements increase, industrial design has come to represent a highly significant tool in product development, market communication and not least, brand building.

Industrial design has long been an important aspect of the production process at Jordan AS, whose branded toothbrushes can be found in more than 100 countries on all five continents. The company’s innovation processes always involve close co-operation with industrial designers. Jordan products have received a number of design prizes over the years and its combination of innovative design, functionality and ergonomics have made it a world leader in toothbrush technology.

The Norwegian Design Council was established in 1963 to promote design as a competitive market tool and offers assistance to companies in assessing the benefits of and opportunities for investment in industrial design.
