Industry experts from around the world came to this first-time exhibition – the non-automotive industry’s new international trade fair reference – to see what is new while nurturing business relationships. The October 15-17 event had 804 exhibitors from 43 countries, and attracted some 30,000 visitors to the Nürnberg Exhibiton Centre in Germany.
Hydro contributed to the fair’s positive reception by introducing at Chillventa the products and competence required to manufacture all-aluminium heat exchangers. Unique as a supplier, Hydro offers aluminium finstock, headers, round tubes and micro-channel profiles to its customers – all from one source.
At Chillventa, Hydro’s technical experts spent time with potential users and manufacturers in describing and discussing the aluminium components that are specifically designed and packaged for this market.
“We are very pleased with the response and the number of qualified inquiries we received. It shows that we are right there when it comes to developing solutions for future HVAC&R applications, including those compatible with carbon dioxide (R744),” says Hugo Ravesloot, who is responsible for business development for Hydro’s aluminium precision tubing activities.
Also at the fair, Güntner AG & Co. presented their new GVX condenser series with Microox Technology. Güntner is a leading player in the field of heat exchange technology, with manufacturing facilities worldwide.
The new condensers, which are constructed entirely out of aluminium, were developed with Hydro and made with Hydro components – finstock, micro-channel profiles, and punched manifolds.
Hydro also exhibited Hygroove, an integral part of the company’s product offer, for the first time. These round tubes have straight or spirally grooved interiors to be used in mechanically assembled heat exchangers.
The grooving type is adapted to the refrigerant used, in order to give optimal heat transfer performance. Hygroove can be supplied in coils and straight lengths.
“This fair was an excellent opportunity to meet new and existing customers” announces sales manager Gunter Rybasch, who covers the HVAC&R market for Hydro’s precision tubing plant in Denmark.
