ONE Nordic is a newly established Nordic company, formerly known as E.ON ES and which also operated under the names of Sydkraft Service and ElektroSandberg. ONE Nordic is now an independent company, 90.5% owned by Altor Fund III and 9.5% owned by E.ON Sweden.
“The new contract will give us an IT platform customised for ONE Nordic’s business model, while at the same time reducing our IT costs significantly. In addition, we have specified a clear and simple division of responsibilities in which ONE Nordic is the Client and EDB ErgoGroup focuses on technology and delivery. With the new solution and collaboration with EDB ErgoGroup we expect to gain reliable access to a function of key significance for our business and to provide the flexible IT services necessary for us to be able to work efficiently,” says Bengt Ekenstierna, CEO ONE Nordic AB.
“It is naturally enough very gratifying that EDB ErgoGroup has been trusted with responsibility for ONE Nordic’s total IT support, and it also demonstrates how our ability to deliver IT as a service, and the opportunities to create a clear functional responsibility, are in increasing demand. The fact that ONE Nordic is a leading supplier in today’s market, which places very high demands on cost-efficiency, service and accessibility, reinforces our conviction that the services we offer stand very strongly,” says CEO Terje Mjøs at EDB ErgoGroup.
The new outsourced IT platform for ONE Nordic’s 1,400 users includes Server Operations with around 230 applications and Client Operations with its associated service desk.
“We view EDB ErgoGroup as a flexible and stable partner that can match our business and our needs in the best way. The new solution allows us partly to reduce our IT costs, and partly to create an efficient IT platform, with a supplier able to take clear responsibility for its functions. In practice, this means that we purchase working jobs and operational environments, rather than hardware and software. Instead of handling ongoing questions about the IT environment ourselves, we are now creating the space to focus on ensuring that IT really supports our overlying activities in the best way,” says Åse Petersén, ONE Nordic AB’s IT director.
“The new IT environment will reduce complexity, at the same time meeting ONE Nordic’s increasing demands for mobility, customer focus and collaboration as well as give it the opportunity to continue to reduce costs,” says Terje Mjøs.
