From 10-13 September 2015, the world of design was in Paris for the international biennale of applied arts Révélations. BOEN, Norwegian producer of hardwood flooring was present in the Norwegian Crafts pavilion. Here, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden presented excellent Scandinavian design and craftsmanship on the BOEN planks Oak Moon. The floor and some of the walls were also used to showcase the high standards of design and style of the North.
In addition to over 38,500 visitors, the five ambassadors from the
exhibiting countries and French Prime Minister Manuel Valls were able to win
visitors over with the quality of Scandinavian craftsmanship and of BOEN hardwood flooring. With its grey-blue finish, the floor from the BOEN Stonewashed Collection was reminiscent of materials used in major cities, a style world that BOEN calls Urban Contrast. Norwegian Crafts organiser Hege Henriksen said, ‘We are very happy about our collaboration with Boen. The floor looks simply spectacular and creates a wonderful stage for the exhibits. You can really feel that everything has the same Scandinavian origins’.
