Workshop on short and long term applications for unmanned ship technology

The MUNIN project is performing a feasibility study for unmanned ships and related technology. MARINTEK is one of the partners of the MUNIN consortium.

It is clear that it will take many years before we see the first truly unmanned ship, but much of the technology have important and shorter term applications in shipping. This includes increased shore support, improved system monitoring and maintenance and better sensor systems for the bridge.

MUNIN arranges an open workshop in conjunction with SMM in Hamburg on 10th September 2014 to discuss these issues. Here MUNIN as well as other industry actors will present their views on unmanned ships and the possible application of the technology.+
