The strike at Baker Hughes Norway is called off

OLF and SAFE have agreed upon a new collective agreement within the oil service area. The strike has thereby been called off at Baker Hughes by 04:00 GMT+1 Saturday morning.

- We are very pleased to have reached an agreement with SAFE, so that the strike can be called off, comments Håvard Hauan, Layer OLF.

All parties have agreed upon creating a new collective agreement for the oil service area, with SAFE/YS as a partner , equivalent to the existing agreement as with Industri Energy/LO. YS and NHO participated also in the negotiation held on Friday the 15th of June.

- This new agreement creates a positive foundation for further collaboration with SAFE/YS, comments Hauan.
At present, 4500 members within Industri Energi are covered by the collective oil service agreement. 114 SAFE members at Baker Hughes Norway will be included in the new agreement, which will be identical to the existing agreement between OLF and Industri Energi

- This new agreement is positive news for both OLF and SAFE. It is not every day a new foundation for a collective agreement is made, says Hauan.
