The partnership between Danelec Marine and GPV

 

The cooperation between Danelec Marine a/s and GPV dates back to 2005, when the set-up for production of the so-called black box of the sea the Danelec DM400 VDR system, was established.

Danelec supplied the PCB designed for the device while GPV designed the mechanics and helped to develop and manufacture the prototype for the system.








Danelec - a small Danish company

with global customers

The Danish company Danelec Marine is one of the largest suppliers of Voyager Data Recorders (VDRs) to the global maritime industry.

Danelec DM400 consists of a device for collecting data and a capsule for storage of data. The system is designed to withstand temperatures of up to 1,100 degrees Celsius (app. 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit) for one hour and a pressure equivalent to a depth of 6,000 metres (app. 19,600 feet)

Since Danelec are specialists in software development, hardware and mechanics for the marine segment, the cooperation with GPV is a perfect match.

 

 

Delivery directly to ships wherever they are

GPV is familiar with logistical requirements from a specialist such as Danelec.

GPV delivers the finished Voyager Data Recorder devices directly to Danelec’s end customers. Customers are typically shipyards or ships worldwide, so time and logistics costs are saved for both Danelec and their end customers.

Also when it comes to the yearly service for the units GPV, receives and returns repairunits directly to specific vessels.

 

 

Danelec’s latest product ECDIS is also

produced by GPV

ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display Information Systems) is Danelec’s newest product, launched in 2010.

The unit is designed for installation directly on the ships. ECDIS not only makes navigation easier, but gives a significant improvement of maritime safety.

GPV delivers the first units in 2012 directly to Danelec’s end customers worldwide.
