TAKING VISUAL INSPECTIONS TO A NEW LEVEL

The possibilities are many, not least because the Aeroview can fly BLOS (beyond line of sight).

Ørjan Nyberg Ladsten, CMO i Aeroview, og konserndirektør Gisle Frydenlund i Beerenberg viser frem en av dronene som vil bli benyttet i samarbeidet for å effektivisere tjenestene.

Ørjan Nyberg Ladsten, CMO of Aeroview, and Gisle Frydenlund, EVP at Beerenberg, holding one of the drones that will be used to streamline services.

“The partnership between Aeroview and Beerenberg will take visual ISS inspections to a new level,” Beerenberg EVP Gisle Frydenlund explains.

“We have been aware of the potential for some time and believe that the time is now right to include visual inspections by drone in our portfolio of services. Drones allow us to get to hard-to-reach locations much more quickly, which will generate significant savings for our clients,” says Frydenlund.

More efficient working
The possibilities are many, not least because the Aeroview can fly BLOS (beyond line of sight). This allows the drone to get inside ducts and containers to check for corrosion and other damage while also being able to fly below the installation.

“We think the market is ready. We have identified a number of benefits in terms of ISS, and we can access valuable data during the planning phase. This will in turn make for more efficient working.

The combination of Aeroview having offshore experience and using only trained pilots makes them a leader in this field.

“Other drone services may also soon be available in addition to visual inspections. For example, it’s possible to scan the entire exterior of a platform to a high degree of accuracy,” says Frydenlund.

New opportunities
Aeroview has also spotted opportunities for the partnership with Beerenberg.
“It enables us to work across different specialisms and skills sets and offers new opportunities for both Beerenberg and Aeroview. A partnership where we can learn from each other will be key to developing new solutions. The synergies of that will benefit our customers. I’m convinced that together we will be able to create new solutions to existing challenges,” says Aeroview CMO Ørjan Nyberg Ladsten, adding:

“It's reassuring to be working with a business that has innovative solutions and focus in its DNA the way Beerenberg does.”

Trailblazer
Aeroview was founded in 2011 as one of Norway’s first drone companies. In 2013 the firm was licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority to carry out commercial RPAS operations. Since then the company has completed almost a thousand commercial projects, establishing itself as one of Scandinavia’s most experienced drone operators. Aeroview is run by people with a background in aviation, oil and gas.
