Super-yacht contract awarded to STADT

Will use STADT No-Loss diesel electric propulsion

Kongsberg Maritime has assigned a contract to STADT AS  to deliver their No-Loss AS drive system for a 84 meter long super-yacht that is to be built by ECHO YEACHTs in Australia.

As electric system-integrator, Kongsberg Maritime will work the STADT technology into a fully integrated system with their K-Power boards and automation systems.

The design that includes three hulls gives the the ship a width of 20 meters. The super yacht has been given its shape my Sam Sergiovanni, whereas One2Three are responsible for the technical design, in collaboration with the shipyard.

Hallvard Slettevoll, the CEO of STADT, states this contract represents a new and significant market segment for the company.

Last year, the patented No-Loss drive technology from STADT was given a prize as the most eco friendly electric propulsion in the market by OSJ in London. In 2015, STADT was once more given a prize for the best electric system by the Marine Propulsion conference.

Later this year, STADT will celebrate their 30 years anniversary as a company known for their innovative solutions withing electric ship propulsion.
