Strong growth in applications

More people wish to study at University of Nordland.

The good trend continues. Rector

Pål Pedersen at University of Nordland

is pleased with the growth in

applications to the university.

The first application figures from The Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service (NUCAS) show a 6.8% rise in students applying for admission at University of Nordland (as compared with 2012).

University of Bergen in Norway is the only Norwegian university with stronger growth in first priority applicants.

- The trend from previous years continues. After becoming a university in 2011 we have enjoyed a growth in first priority applicants of more than 30%, says Rector Pål Pedersen at University of Nordland.

This means that we are succeeding with our strategic work on study programmes, as well as strengthening our position in the university sector.

The most popular study programmes this year are nursing, teacher training (5th -10th grades), social work, aquaculture and leadership, animal science, real estate, history, and various business programmes.

Work on international applications to University of Nordland is at present being completed and the figures will be available at the beginning of May.

- We look forward to receiving our new students in the autumn, says Rector Pål Pedersen who is naturally very pleased about the development of applications to the institution.
