South Africa project awarded INTPART grant

The main goal of INTPART is to develop world class higher education and research institutions in Norway by promoting and funding long term institutional partnerships with strong academic groups and institutions in eight prioritized countries; Brazil, Canada, China, India, Japan, Russia, South-Africa and the USA. Special emphasis is on integrating higher education- and research, and may include business partners. The first call was issued earlier this year and opened for funding for three-year projects. 47 grant applications were received.

MultiLing in partnership with South Africa's top universities is the title of the South Africa cooperation project that was successful in obtaining a grant. It is based at the University of Oslo and headed by Professor Elizabeth Lanza, Director of MultiLing – Center for Multilingualism in Society across the Lifespan, which is one of Norway's centres of excellence supported by the Research Council of Norway (RCN).

INTPART is administered jointly by RCN and SIU - the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Education. For more information about the results from the first INPART call, follow this link.
