Saudi awards Norway's Aker Kvaerner a $140-150 million contract

Norway's Aker Kvaerner ASA said that it has received a contract worth $140 million-$150 million from Advanced Chemical Industries Company of Saudi Arabia, Dow Jones Newswires reported.

Norway's Aker Kvaerner ASA said that it has received a contract worth $140 million-$150 million from Advanced Chemical Industries Company of Saudi Arabia, Dow Jones Newswires reported.

Aker Kvaerner will provide engineering, procurement and construction, including commissioning and start up services, for a 75,000 tones per annum Butanediol, or BDO, plant in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

The project is already under construction with major civil works being completed on site and on target. Aker Kvaerner commenced key activities, under an early works agreement last year, to ensure that the overall schedule is maintained.
