Results of the AFG survey.

The SSF secretariat was asked by the forum to evaluate the results and outcome of the AFG. We conducted a survey amongst the recipients and administrators of the past 6 AFG allocations. The results of this can be found in the attached report (see right hand side). Some key figures are presented in the second PDF. The aim of this report is to present the results of the AFG funding not the internal evaluation which is for the forum only.

All answers were given anonymously and all comments have been considered and some implemented.

The main conclusion is that the AFG generates very high value for money, both when it comes to future generations of polar scientist and in hard scientific output such as papers and degrees.

Thank you again to all who participated in the survey.

Enjoy!
