IT supplier?
“Everyone” can sell you a computer or internet access.  Many can also help you with antennaes for moving data from one site to the next. However, there is very few who on a daily basis needs to adjust for high and low tides, and take the earth's curving into consideration when building a network. From Steinsvik you can get a complete solution, where we take responsibility for all components, both the one being controlled and the ones controlling them. Feeding system
The heart of modern fish farming is the central feeding system. It’s the most important tool to allow the farmers to optimize growth and should be the starting point for a remote feeding strategy. Our FeedStation is designed for remote feeding. Out of the box, you get overview of all sites in your preferred region and the possibility to control them all from one interface. Automatic warnings across sites ensures that you won’t miss a beat whether you are on site or off site. Read more about our feeding system.

Camera system
Being physically removed from the fish makes the cameras even more important than before. Not only should the cameras provide you with sharp and stable imagery, but also the controls need to be intuitive. With a camera solution from Steinsvik you can control the camera and the feeding system from a single interface without looking away from the fish for even a moment. Information from the feeding system is shown as an overlay on the video feed, together with control for optimizing the feeding. No need for multiple software or switching between windows on your computer, just full overview and control. Read more about our cameras.

What about the barge?
A centralized feeding strategy means a new set of demands for the equipment, including the barges. Steinsvik barges are designed and equipped for remote operations. We install necessary infrastructure such as data network, a dedicated server room and various sensors even before the barge leaves the yard. Our barge control software provide the farmer with crucial information and control of generators, ballasting system, hatches and tank statuses. Together with a complete CCTV monitoring system it feels like being on the barge. Steinsvik barges ranges from 1000 to 100 tons of feed capacity, with complete facilities for a live in crew or pure feeding machines used as satellites in a network of barges. Read more about our barges.

Focus on the fish
The reasoning behind a centralized feeding strategy should be for the farmers to be able to focus on the important part: optimal feeding of the fish and rapid growth. A wilderness of software, lacking overview and having to organize a number of suppliers steals focus from what is important. Choosing the right partner is crucial, and we at Steinsvik have the experience know-how and products to help you, today and in future endeavors.
