Record-setting allocation for research on global health

The Research Council of Norway has allocated NOK 265 million for projects that will help to raise the health standard of poor people in low- and lower-middle income countries.

Particular importance has been attached to thematic areas such as health care systems and maternal and child health.

Mr Brende stresses that Norway has world-class research groups specialising in maternal and child health, which together with international partners can make a real difference.
