Positive winds at the SeaWork International trade fair

This is the place to be

Servogear and Brunvoll Mar-El has once again teamed up for the SeaWork International workboat trade fair in Southampton, UK.

has been a great week for Servogear at SeaWork. The fair has exceeded my expectations.  I noticed that there were not that many boats on exhibition this time. This is simply because they are busy with other assignments. That is a good sign. There seems to be a growing optimism in this market at the moment. This creates business opportunities for Servogear and our partners, CEO Torleif Stokke explains.

Custom made high-speed crew transport vessels for the offshore wind industry is one of the fastest growing segments at the moment. Future offshore windfarms might be equipped with charging solutions, and these are boats very suitable for hybridisation. Servogear’s new hybrid concept, with the HDE220 gearbox at the very heart of it, received a lot of attention from shipowners, shipyards and ship designers at SeaWork.

– This is the place to be, especially when it comes to the offshore wind segment. It is a growing industry, and energy efficient and environmentally friendly support vessels are in demand. Many of our visitors has been fascinated by the new hybrid concept of ours. We are very pleased with the number of meetings and visitors at our stand. We have had many good dialogues this week, with existing and possibly future customers, Stokke says.

At the fair Servogear showcased it’s complete portfolio, consisting of controllable pitch propellers, shaft brackets, effect rudders, propeller tunnels and gearboxes, as well as Brunvoll Mar-El control system and battery package in hybrid systems.
