PGS sells seismic data bank

The Norwegian offshore company Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) has agreed to sell its subsidiary Petrobank Data Management to Halliburton, the American oil services giant, for USD 117 million (NOK 1.5 billion). The sale encompasses all the employees and technology in the data management company, which provides data services and seismic information to oil companies throughout the world.
