Norwegian Seafood council to open UK office

The Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) has announced plans to open a London office following the success of its new UK marketing campaign.

The UK is Norway’s 7th biggest export market and the decision to open a London office has been made following 18 months of successful marketing activity – managed, to date, from the organisations Paris office.

The NSC works with industry stakeholders to raise awareness and drive sales of seafood from Norway across sectors including grocery, fish & chip shops and HoReCa. The new office will help develop and nurture opportunities for Norwegian seafood products within the UK market, and a new Director is being recruited for this office which is due to open in summer 2013.

Johan Kvalheim, UK and France Director for the NSC commented: “This is incredibly exciting news and the London office will be of great benefit for all exporters, importers, partners and distributors of Norwegian seafood in the UK. The UK is an incredibly important market and our presence here will enable us to cement our commitment to the UK.”
