Norsafe Expands Global Service Network

Norsafe has a current order book over 1 billion Norwegian kroner and is undertaking aggressive expansion of its world-wide service network. In 2011 Norsafe established a service company in Brazil. This is now followed by a dedicated service station in Rotterdam.

Endre Eidsvik, Director of Norsafe's Service Division states:
"Norsafe have been very successful delivering new products to the market.  The demand for regular inspections and servicing of the equipment has increased significantly in the last years.  More and more ship and rig operators want to sign fleet service agreements with Norsafe.  It is crucial for Norsafe to offer our service in key hubs across the world.


Rotterdam is one of the largest ports in the world, and Norsafe are pleases to give our clients the opportunity to receive local, cost effective service at this location."


The Norsafe BV facility is ideally situated centrally in the Port of Rotterdam.  The workshop has direct access to the waterfront for pickup of lifeboats and rescue boats, with a 25 ton boat lift.  The 1,300m² workshop has overhead cranes, a dedicated, environmentally controlled lamination shop, and with a number of experienced service engineers.


Rob Bunders, Managing Director of the Norsafe BV, stated on his new appointment:

Norsafe BV is established in close co-operation with the long standing Dutch company Oceanwide Safety at Sea, specialists in the production of hyperbaric lifeboat systems.


Norsafe AS is a privately owned company, with production facilities in Norway, China, Greece and Mexico.  The organization also operates dedicated service stations in Brazil, Korea, Singapore, the Netherlands and U.S.A.  The company has 700 employees world-wide, and an increasing annual turnover in excess of 700 million Norwegian kroner.
