The VERDIKT programme is continuing its focus on the Future Internet and the three thematic research topics: Social networks, Mobile Internet and the Internet of things.

In addition, this call specifically targets green ICT and smart health solutions - two areas where ICT can make a significant difference in society.

Green ICT involves ICT solutions that provide environmental benefits. This encompasses for example more energy efficient components and smarter solutions for production and logistics systems.

Smart ICT solutions in relation to health, welfare and care should be user-oriented and contribute to an easier everyday life and better treatment.

The funding amount granted will normally be NOK 1–3 million per year over a period of 2–4 years.

Allocation process

The deadline for applying is November 28 at 13:00. The applications are processed by a panel of experts. The final decision on the allocation of grants is taken by the VERDIKT programme board and will be announced in March 2013.
