New strategy available in English

“The strategy has two of the greatest challenges we are facing as its point of departure,” says Executive Board Chair Henrik O. Madsen. “We have to expand our innovation capacity in both the private and the public sectors, and we have to find new, more sustainable solutions for society at large.”

“This new strategy will help us to cultivate a greater number of world-leading research environments, and lay the foundation for an even more dynamic innovation culture through closer cooperation between research and industry. We also need to take steps to get new knowledge and technology out to the companies and segments of society where they can be applied, making Norway and the world more sustainable,” says Arvid Hallén, Director General of the Research Council.
