New aluminum joint venture established

Norsk Hydro ASA's Extruded Products busines area and Orkla ASA's Sapa has become a 50/50 joint venture.

The new global leader within extruded aluminium solutions has been given the name sapa. 

Its head offices will be in Oslo an the venture will have 23,000 employees worldwide. This jont venture has been in the works since October 2012 when Orkla and Hydro agreed to combine ther profiles.
