Nature Oil & Gas secures three years contract with Seadrill in Brazil

Nature Group PLC (AIM: NGR), the leading maritime and offshore oil and gas waste treatment specialist is pleased to announce a three year contract for its slop and sludge treatment systems offshore in Brazil.

Nature Oil & Gas has been engaged – initially for a 3 period of years – by Seadrill to support with the processing and treatment of liquid waste generated on its drilling rigs offshore in Brazil. Seadrill is operating three rigs in the region and has selected Nature Oil & Gas to treat the wastewater at source which is both environmentally progressive and at the same time virtually eliminates the comprehensive logistics trail normally associated with the removal and treatment of slop and sludge water.

Seadrill selected a solution comprising of the Compact Treatment Unit (CTU) for on-site waste water treatment and the Sludge Treatment Unit (STU) for drilling mud treatment in order to extract maximum water from the solids. This means in practical terms that as much as 95% of the slop water content is treated and dispatched directly to sea, safely within the discharge criteria of 15 ppm.
