National Science Week stirs nationwide interest

Over 1 000 events took place all over Norway for the annual National Science Week.

Science fairs were held in all larger cities attracting a significant number of visitors.

The theme for this year's science week was "Oceans and Water".

“National Science Week is a unique arena for bringing scientists and the general public in direct contact with one another. It is the Research Council’s job to create meeting places between researchers and everyone who benefits from or uses the results of research – which means everybody, you and me. The science fairs are a wonderful means of achieving this,” says Director General Arvid Hallén.
