More compact design and construction of machinery and equipment.

Parker Hannifin launched its new Elite No-Skive hydraulic hoses at the Nor-Shipping Fair 2013.

Asker, June 2013 – Parker Hannifin, the world's leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems, launched a new Elite No-Skive Compact hose range at this year’s Nor-Shipping Fair. This range comprises a high-performance (exceeds the EN 857 requirements) medium-pressure hose series for challenging applications in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems. The headline “More compact design and construction of machinery and equipment” states the reason for the development of the new Elite hose range. And on top of that, the hydraulic components are expected to resist to increasing pressures, feature a long service life and meet virtually any environmental requirements. This is exactly what the new Elite No-Skive Compact hose range aims at. “Compact” has two meanings here. Firstly, this hose series comprises a compact, clearly structured range of 7 hose types covering all medium-pressure applications. Secondly, the construction of the Elite hoses is so compact that in all machinery and equipment they are used in, they need considerably less space than conventional hydraulic hoses. Thus they can make an essential contribution to more reliable and compact machinery and equipment in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems.

Manufacturers of construction or forestry machinery need e.g. hoses with excellent flexibility, tight bend radii and – depending on the operating conditions – different degrees of abrasion resistance. The Elite range includes 3 different abrasion resistance classes: (Standard, Tough Cover (TC) and Super Tough Cover (ST).

Another criterion in this market segment is the application of the hose in low temperature environments. The Elite low-temperature hose 461 LT has exactly the features that make it suitable for this application. Due to its special elastomer compound, this hose type shows extraordinary flexibility even at temperatures as low as -50° C.

With their core features comprising higher abrasion resistance of the hose cover, higher nominal working pressures, tighter bend radii and a longer service life, the Elite hoses meet the market requirements in terms of saving resources, minimising risks and the ongoing reduction of chemicals that present health hazards or pollute the environment.
With its Elite No-Skive hose series and in particular the new chlorine-free hose type 462ClF (with pure nitrile inner tube) Parker’s objective is to keep impact on the environment as low as possible from the production up to the disposal of a hose assembly.

The Elite No-Skive hose range is completed by a full series of corrosion-resistant and environmentally friendly fittings made of steel (with Cr6-free surface) and stainless steel.
