This change will strengthen the Pidef claims team who will also benefit from the synergies to be obtained by merging the two departments. The Club's intention is that this integration will result in the Pidef claims team providing a high service level due to the increased knowledge and experience upon which it will be able to draw.

The new Legal department will be headed by Per-Åge Nygård and all personnel within P&I - Defense Claims will be joining the expanded legal department which will comprise 10 lawyers/claims handlers plus support staff. We are also pleased to announce that Brian Roberts has been appointed as P&I - Defense Claims Director. Brian came to the Club in May 2012, and has extensive shipping law experience as Lawyer and Partner at Jackson Parton law firm in London. Brian will report to Head of Legal Per-Åge Nygård.

If you have any questions in relation to this announcement, please contact
Per-Åge Nygård, pan@norclub.no or Brian Roberts, brr@norclub.no.
