Jotne Awarded Contract for Subsea Protection Structure

In January 2016, Jotne E&P was awarded a contract for the delivery of a subsea protection structure and GRP cover for a Xmas tree at Balder field. The contract was awarded by Ocean Installer.

The Balder field is located in the Norwegian Sector of the North Sea at a water depth of approximately 125m and operated by Exxonmobil. The protection structure is designed and fabricated in accordance to NORSOK standard M101 & U001, DnV- OS-C101 and Design Code ISO 13628 / 13819. The 125 Ton structure has 4 suction buckets with ventilation buckets and 2 main hatched for Xmas tree access.

All design, analysis, purchase and fabrication has been performed by Jotne in close cooperation with our sub suppliers. The structure and GRP cover was delivered in accordance to schedule and cost in July 2016 without any punch items.

Jotne and Ocean Installer are very satisfied with the execution and delivery of this fast track project finalized 7 months after contract award, General Manager in Jotne E&P Jannik Stanger reports.
