Beerenberg experiencing that it is attractive to work in the company. Staff turnover is historically low, and the company has little trouble recruiting new staff, CEO & President Morten Walde, writes in the latest edition of Management Letter.

Beerenberg forecast that it will increase its workforce by 700 to 1000 new employees over the next three years, CEO & President Morten Walde writes in the latest Management Letter.

Beerenberg has had a particularly enjoyable Christmas month this year. The start of the month began with Statoil making use of an option to extend the contracts for Statfjord (A-B-C), Gullfaks (A-B-C), Grane and Visund for another two years. Once week later they also recieved news that Statoil had chosen to award Beerenberg the maintenance contract for Valemon (due to commence in 2014) as well as an associated two-year option for Kvitebjørn. Beerenberg has estimated the value of these contract at somewhere between NOK 1.5 and 1.8 billion, and they will secure around 800 full-time jobs. Although it was not a surprise to learn that Statoil had chosen to renew these contracts, it was nonetheless very pleasant news.
