Great turnout for "Development research -what now?"

"We have many examples showing that research cooperation has enhanced competence within sectors such as public administration, education, climate and the environment, and health care", said Arvid Hallén, Director General in The Research Council of Norway, in his opening speech.

"However, in the past 30 years allocations for development-related research have never been smaller than they are now. As a result, it is not possible to launch new research activity in this time of major development-related and political challenges", added Hallén
