From China to Florø

Finally, one of the world's largest and most modern pipelaying vessel, Deep Energy, arrived Florø. The ship was transported from Dalian in China on the heavy lift vessel “Xiang Rui Kou”.

The long passage via Cape of Good Hope to Florø has taken 55 days. By the way, this is the maiden trip of Xiang Rui Kou.


The initial build step is completed in the Chinese city of Dalian and the boat will be completed by STX shipyard in Florø.


The ship Owner isTechnip.Deep Energyis 194 m long and 31m wide. Our dry dock is 200 m long and 40 wide. It is like "hand in glove".She will have the capability to handle rigid pipe up to 18”, flexible pipe up to 24” and umbilicals. Max. pipelaying operations is 3000meter depth.
