The Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Norway Exports invite Norwegian companies to a business forum with the Serbian president Mr. Boris Tadic in Oslo Militære Samfund on Tuesday May 4 from 0900 to 1200.
Here Norwegian companies will be presented possibilities for cooperation with Serbian companies beneficial for all parties. Companies from for instants the Serbian shipping and metal industry will be present at the forum. A complete list of Serbian companies represented can be found in the attached documents.
One important company coming to the forum is the Rapp Marine Group from Bodø. This company is a pioneer when it comes to industrial cooperation between Norway and Serbia. In 2006, they acquired 71,2% of the stocks in the Serbian company Zastava Masine. Now the company has changed name to Rapp Zastava, and this factory is now a successful part of the company's production network. The Rapp Marine Group has long tradition producing their equipment in other countries, and they compete in an international market. They utilize the labour force necessary for big steps connected with innovation and new and creative ideas. Thus, the Rapp Marine Group leads the way for Norwegian companies thinking about a cooperation with Serbian companies. This investment strengthens their competitiveness in the long term and secures working places. The chairman of the board of Rapp Marine, Mr. Svenn Are Jenssen will inform about the success factors for Rapp marine in Serbia.
Telenor is very big in Serbia. In 2006, they bought the Serbian mobile operator Mobtel. Now, Telenor is the second largest mobile network operator in Serbia, serving nearly 3 million subscribers.Telenor is the largest foreign investor in Serbia and engages in the development of Serbia, financially, technologically, socially and culturally. The Norwegian director of Telenor in Serbia, Mr. Kjell-Morten Johnsen will share his experiences on the forum.
Representatives from Norway Exports will be present at the forum. They will provide information about Norwegian exporting sectors & regions. The first publication of Norway Exports was printed in 1957 and since then we have provided a structured overview of trends, products and services within the Norwegian market both in print and on the web. All Norway Exports issues are developed in close cooperation with the relevant Ministries, industry branch organizations and research institutions.
