Amendments to the Competition Act

The Norwegian Parliament decided on 28 May 2013 to adopt the Ministry’s proposed amendments to the Competition Act. The amendments will be of great importance for undertakings which merge or purchase or sell other undertakings. As a result of the significant increase in the thresholds for filing obligation, only the largest transactions must be notified to the Competition Authority in the future.
