A royal visit at the OTC

Monday saw Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette Marit visit the OTC at the Reliant Centre.

The Crown Princess noted that her father-in-law had visited the Conference in1973, and now the Crown Prince celebrated the Norwegian Pavilion’s 40th anniversary at the event. In her speech she spoke of the importance of the gathering for the Norwegian oil and gas industry and highlighted the value of a space for innovation and new ideas.

The royal delegation continues with visit to the Innovation House Silicon Valley. Here they will be take part in the “Advanced Technology and Design Thinking” seminars. Here they will be introduced to industry experts and researchers that are discussing future trends, possibilities for collaboration and the latest developments in the sector. The main focus will be on next generation automation and robotics.
