A promising cooperation for advanced radar solutions to improve safety

Every year at least ten, if not more, vessels sink because of bad sea conditions and in most cases rogue waves also known as freak waves are the main reasons.

The results are loss of human lives and environmental disasters. Having the possibility to monitor in real time and with great accuracy the sea conditions is an effective tool to increase the safety at sea.

Consilium and Remocean have in cooperation designed an integrated solution of a “wave radar system” that has several areas of application, such as: Aid to the safety of navigation for any kind of vessels, online analysis of the impact of waves on the ship hull and fuel saving and support to search and rescue operations.
