Gathers two important industries

The Norwegian seafood and petroleum industries have agreed to establish the Ett hav executive forum to contribute to a lower conflict level and increase value creation for both industries.

Ett hav is a forum where top executives from the Norwegian seafood industry and petroleum industry will meet to engage in a dialogue. The forum is managed by a secretariat with representatives from the Norwegian Fishermen's Association and the Norwegian Oil Industry Association (OLF).

The forum is chaired by Leiv Grønnevet, who has broad business experience and extensive knowledge of the two industries.

Activities in Ett hav will be financed by contributions from both industries.

Participants in the executive forum represent the Norwegian Fishermen's Association, the Norwegian Seafood Federation, Norwegian Association of Fishing Boat Owners, the secretariat of the Norwegian Federation of Trade Unions, the Norwegian Oil Industry Association and companies in the oil industry.

The initial meeting of the executive forum Ett hav will be held in February 2012.
